--- { "title": "JumpTo", "intro": "Navigate to a node or saved search by name, or jump there with a custom text shortcut." } --- JumpTo gives a quick way to navigate around your outline, without opening the sidebar or remembering where something lives. Use it when you know a node’s name, want to reopen a starred location, or have assigned a short text code to a frequent destination. # Open JumpTo Press `Ctrl+K` on Windows or `Cmd+K` on Mac to open JumpTo. Start typing the name of a node, then select the matching result. Starred nodes and searches appear first in the results. If you visit something regularly and want it visible as well as searchable, see [Star nodes and searches](/help/starring). # Create a shortcut from JumpTo A JumpTo shortcut is a custom text code, such as `wm` for “Weekly meeting” or `rd` for “Reading list.” Entering the code in JumpTo takes you directly to its node. {% steps %} 1. Open **JumpTo** 2. Search for the node you want 3. Hover over the matching result and select **Add Shortcut** 4. Enter a short, memorable code 5. Press Enter {% /steps %} {% kb_image src="/media/webflow/shortcuts-1.gif" alt="" %}{% /kb_image %} # Create a shortcut with a slash command {% steps %} 1. Run the search you want to save 2. Select the shortcut button in the search box 3. Enter a shortcut code 4. Press Enter {% /steps %} {% kb_image src="/media/webflow/shortcuts-3.gif" alt="" %}{% /kb_image %} # Use shortcuts as destinations Workflowy shortcuts can also identify destinations in features such as [Email to Workflowy](/help/email-to-workflowy) and [Web Clipper](/help/web-clipper). Use clear, distinctive codes so they are easy to recognize and unlikely to conflict with node names. # JumpTo or starring Use JumpTo when you prefer to navigate by typing a name or code. Star something when you want it permanently visible in the sidebar. You can use both for the same node or search.
