Learn to upload files and images anywhere in your Workflowy documents.
When to use
Files and images in Workflowy let you keep everything in one place. Just drag and drop to upload PDFs, screenshots, photos, or any other file right into a bullet.
You can preview images and documents directly inside your outline, or download them when needed.
It’s perfect for storing references, sharing assets, or adding visual context to your notes - no need to jump between apps.
Upload limits
Free users only have a 100MB file limit cap. Pro subscribers have unlimited uploads with a 5GB files size limit.
Add a file or image
You can add files and images by dragging and dropping them into Workflowy, from the bullet menu, or with the slash command “Upload file”.
Resize an image
You can resize any image you upload.
Set default image size
You can set the default image size of new images.
View image options
Images have several options that you can access from the image menu. The options are: Show full-screen, view original, download, settings.
Delete a file
Download all files and images
This will open a new page where you can create new zip files containing all your files and images and also download previous zip files. Once you’re on the Downloads page:
- Click “Prepare New Download”
This will start the download preparation process. You can now close this window. Once we’ve gathered all your files and images, you’ll receive an email.
Once you receive an email from us with the subject line ‘Your Workflowy File Is Ready for Download’, your download is ready.
- Click ‘View your Downloads‘ in the email
This will open up a page where you can download the zip file that contains all your files and images. On the downloads page:
- Click the “Download” link for the file you want to download
View PDF files
You can view pdf files inline by dragging and dropping them into Workflowy.
