Mobile and desktop apps

Your Workflowy account syncs across the web, desktop apps, phones, and tablet, meaning that you can always jot down ideas or find something on the go.

Desktop apps

Workflowy has desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Download the latest version from workflowy.com/downloads.

The desktop app is useful when you want Workflowy in its own window or need desktop-specific capabilities such as the global Quick Capture shortcut or Workflowy Desktop MCP.

iPhone and iPad

Install Workflowy from the Apple App Store. The same iOS app works on iPhone and iPad.

Quick Add for iOS uses an Apple Shortcut to save an item to your Workflowy Inbox without opening the app first. You can run it from Shortcuts or Siri, and assign it to the Action Button on supported iPhones. See Quick Add for setup details.

Android phones and tablets

Install Workflowy from Google Play.

To use Quick Add, long-press the Workflowy app icon or add the Quick Add widget to the home screen. Quick Add accepts text and links; pressing Enter makes following lines children of the first item. See Quick Add for details.

Capture from any device

On desktop, use the global shortcut to save text or a link without switching to the Workflowy window. See Quick Add for setup and shortcut details.

On mobile, use Mobile Share To to send content from another app into Workflowy. For saving webpages from a desktop browser, see Web Clipper.
