Kindle Highlights
Import highlights from your Kindle into Workflowy.
If you annotate books on a Kindle, you can import your highlights by uploading your My Clippings.txt file from the Kindle's documents folder. Your notes will be brought in as structured content.
Find your clippings file
- Connect your Kindle to your computer with a USB cable.
- Open the Kindle drive on your computer.
- Open the documents folder.
- Find My Clippings.txt.
Import into Workflowy
- Open Import Kindle Notes.
- Select Choose file and choose
My Clippings.txt. - Select Import Notes.
- Keep the page open while Workflowy processes the file.
- Workflowy creates a Kindle item in your Workflowy account.
The upload must be a .txt file no larger than 20 MB.
Troubleshooting
- No highlights found: Make sure you selected the
My Clippings.txtfile from the Kindle'sdocumentsfolder. - Some entries are missing: Check whether they contain text and use a supported date format.
- Invalid file type: Upload the original
.txtfile rather than a converted document or archive. - File is too large: The upload must be no larger than 20 MB.
