Date tags
Add dates to your content and find what is coming up.
When to use
Date tags add structured dates to ordinary Workflowy nodes. Use them for deadlines, meetings, reminders, and anything you want to find by day, week, month, or date range.
Add date tags to bullets so you can search with exact dates, date ranges, or natural language like this week and tomorrow. Date tags also let dated items appear in Calendar under Found Dates, while staying connected to the original item.
Add a date with numbers
- Start typing a date in one of the supported formats
- The date widget will pop up and suggest a date
- Once the suggestion matches the date you want, hit Enter
There are multiple date formats you can use. MM means month, DD means day, and YY or YYYY means year.
MM-DD-YYYYMM/DD/YYYYMM-DD-YYMM/DD/YYMM-DDMM/DD

Find dated items
Search for a specific date or a natural-language period such as this week, next month, or last year. You can also enter a range or use operators such as date-after:.
Combine a date with other search terms to create views such as this week's open tasks or next month's meetings. See Advanced search for supported formats and operators.
Use date tags with Calendar
Items with date tags can appear in Calendar as Found Dates on the corresponding day. They remain connected to the original item, so edits are reflected wherever the item appears.
See Plan with Calendar to work with daily notes and Timeline to plan across upcoming dates.
Change date preferences
Open Workflowy settings to choose whether the week starts on Sunday or Monday. This affects the date picker, displayed date tags, and searches such as this week.
