Ask questions and find information across your Workflowy notes with AI.

Use Chat with your Notes to ask questions, make connections, rediscover ideas, all from your Workflowy notes. Use it to:

  • Dig up a half-remembered idea.
  • Join scattered thoughts.
  • Rediscover insights buried in years of Workflowy notes.

Note: Workflowy AI requires a Pro subscription and Workflowy AI to be enabled in the Settings.

Start a chat with all your notes

You can chat with all your notes from anywhere in Workflowy, you do not need to be zoomed out. To make sure Workflowy AI knows that you want to do this, give it explicit directions like: "Search my notes for..."

  1. Click the Workflowy AI button on the bottom right
  2. Type your question or request
  3. Press Enter

Start a chat with specific notes

Limit the chat to the current page and all the items it contains when you want to focus on one project, section, or group of related items.

  1. Click the Workflowy AI button on the bottom right
  2. Click the Use this page only button in the chatbox
  3. Type your question or request
  4. Press Enter

You can also use the slash command /chat on any item to chat about that specific note and its contents.

Start a brand new chat

Start a new chat for each topic to keep your chat history easier to scan and give Workflowy AI a focused conversation.

  1. Click the Workflowy AI button on the bottom right
  2. Click the new chat icon

View past chats

Return to an earlier conversation to continue it, use it as a reference, or delete it.

  1. Click the Workflowy AI button on the bottom right
  2. Click the history icon at the top of the chat window
  3. Click a chat to view it and continue the conversation
  4. Or click the trash icon to delete it completely
