Google Calendar
Sync Google Calendar events into Workflowy.
Connect your Google Calendar to Workflowy and your events will appear automatically in your Calendar node
With your tasks, notes, and schedule all in one place, Workflowy becomes a single place to plan and organize your day. No switching between apps to figure out what’s next.
You can choose which calendars to sync, see event details, and join Google Meet calls directly.
Note: Requires Workflowy Calendar to be enabled in your Settings.
Connect Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar integration settings.
- Select Connect Google Calendar.
- Choose your Google account and approve read-only calendar access.
- Back on the Workflowy Calendars page, choose which calendars you want to sync and press 'Update'.
- Return to Workflowy, press the 'Today' button in the header or sidebar, and your calendar events will show.
Note At the moment, this is read-only, and event changes made in Workflowy aren't synced back to Google Calendar.
How it works
- Events appear beneath their dates in Workflowy Calendar, with the next 35 days synced.
- Workflowy preserves Google Calendar colors where possible.
- Recurring events are imported as individual occurrences. A multiday all-day event appears on every day it spans, using mirrors after the first day.
How syncing works
- Workflowy checks connected calendars every hour.
- Changes to a synced event in Google Calendar update its Workflowy item.
- If an event is canceled or removed, Workflowy marks the corresponding item as canceled and completes it.
- If you deliberately delete an imported event in Workflowy, the integration does not recreate it automatically.
Resync your calendars
Open Google Calendar integration settings and select Resync when events look out of date.
Change selected calendars
- Select or clear calendars on the integration settings page, then choose Update.
- Calendars you can no longer access are removed from the selection automatically.
Disconnect Google Calendar
Select Disconnect on the integration settings page. Events already in Workflowy remain there, but they no longer update.
If Workflowy says the connection has expired, connect Google Calendar again and approve access.
